Foundation Scriptures
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done; and there is no new thing under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9-10.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my father I have made known unto you. John 15:15
Why did Jesus speak in parables? Matt 13:10-13. People hear, but is there understanding? People see, but do they perceive? Matthew 13:14. Jesus’ words in Isaiah 6:9-10 are just as relevant today as they were twenty-eight hundred years ago. Jesus speaks to us in the Old Testament just the same as he does in the New Testament. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
The basis for understanding a parable in the Old Testament is Proverbs 1:1-6. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning. Do Christians in these end times hear, but not understand? Do we see, but perceive not?
Is Ecclesiastes chapter 12 a parable for these end times? Each reader will answer this question within their own heart. No scripture is given to private interpretation. II Peter 1:20.
The understanding of Ecclesiastes 12 begins in chapter 10, verse 16. My perception of this parable is filtered through current events in the world, with particular emphasis on the United States. Is our current President a child? My definition of a child is one who lacks experience. Do our secular leaders, Governors, Representatives, Senators put themselves first? They fill their belly immediately upon gaining office. Verse 16. We are blessed when our founding fathers were noble in founding the U.S.A. on Judo-Christian principles. Do current politicians eat in due season, putting our country first, or have they become drunk on the blessing God has given this country? Verse 17. Has the church been slothful? Is the building, called USA, decaying? Have the hands of the Church become idle? The field is white unto harvest, but worked are few. Will the house, USA, drop through? We are no longer a Christian Nation; that support is gone. The Church is silent. We are silent when 50 million babies have been aborted. We were silent on Roe vs. Wade. We were silent when prayer was banned from public schools. The last remaining support before the house droppeth, through is support for Israel. This support is weak and soon to collapse. Will the Church be silent on Israel? Look up for your redemption is neigh. Verse 18. America is feasting on her riches and laughing at God. America has no fear of God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The message for America is MENE, MENE, TEKE, UPHARSIN. Daniel 5:25. At this time in history does America claim money answereth all things? Unlimited taxation and printing money can solve our problems. Verse 19.
We should not curse the King, even if he is a child. The rulers are in hands of Lord. Romans 13:1. The Holy Spirit guides and directs and we are given the ruler to carry out God’s sovereign will. We have the appropriate president, for these end times. Does the current administration curse the rich? All I hear on the news is tax the rich. In end times there is no privacy. All communication will be made public. Verse 20.
Ecclesiastes 12:1
Has America remembered the creator? The creator recognized by founding fathers. Are the evil days upon us? Are we taking pleasure in these end times? Or is man’s heart failing him? Luke 21:26.
Ecclesiastes 12:2
The sun, moon, and stars are not yet darken. We are in end times and Luke 21:11 & 25, Revelations 6:12, Joel 2:31, Acts 2:20, Matthew 24:29 are soon to be fulfilled. Jesus told Judas, “That thou doest, do quickly.” John 13:27. Jesus has been gone 2,000 + years, has the Church betrayed the great commission? Matthew 28:19-20. Betrayal is part of end times. Matthew 24:10.
Ecclesiastes 12:3
There is coming a day in near future when the keepers of America will tremble. We have seen a strong man, Obama, bow himself to King of Saudi Arabia. The time is coming soon when every knee shall bow. Romans 14:11. The grinders or workers (Matthew 24:41) will be few in end times. The field is white unto harvest but workers are few. Matthew 9:37. There will be a time when the windows will be darkened. There are windows in Heaven. Malachi 3:10. There will be a time when windows will be darkened and Jesus will not shew himself through the lattice. Song of Solomon 2:9. Were the windows of Heaven closed in Matthew 27:45?
Ecclesiastes 12:4
In this Church age of grace Jesus stands at the door and knocks. Revelations 3:20. The door is open. Revelations 3:8. There is coming a time when the doors will be shut in the streets. The sound of workers will become faint. People will believe a lie that they might be damned, and Antichrist is revealed. II Thessalonians 2:7-12. The Antichrist shall rise up at the voice of a bird as in Ecclesiastes 10:20. At the rising of Antichrist joy and music will be brought low.
Ecclesiastes 12:5
What is that which is high, that would cause fear? Is it the voice of my beloved? Song of Solomon 2:8. Jesus will come back in the clouds, where the mountains are, to receive his bride. He will be leaping upon the mountains and hills gathering his bride. Fear will cause people to ask the mountains to fall on them. Revelations 6:16.
What will the bride look like? The almond tree and it will flourish. We will look like Christ and wear robes of white. Revelations 19:14. The grasshopper will be a burden. This may be a reference to Israel. Amos 7:1. Jerusalem will be a burdensome stone for all people. Zachariah 12:3. Desire shall fail because they will be cut to pieces. The sword of the Lord cuts and can reduce desire. After rapture, mourners will go about the streets. The mourning may be similar to Jeremiah 9:18-19.
Ecclesiastes 12:6
Has the scarlet cord, a cord that saves, been replaced with a silver cord? Joshua 2:18 & 21. We are in the Laodicean Church Age. We are rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing. Revelations 3:17. We have a silver cord and eat from a golden bowl. We will be rebuked and chasten. Revelations 3:19. We will be broken. The pitcher, Holy Spirit, brings water of life. The Holy Spirit will not draw the lost during tribulation as He did during church age. The wheel will be broken, no drawing of Holy Spirit. The Church, salt & light, will not be on the Earth. During the church age all can come and drink of water of life freely. Revelations 21:6.
Ecclesiastes 12:7
This is a picture of the rapture. When Jesus comes in the clouds our physical bodies will be transformed and this dust will return to the earth as it was. Our spirit will return unto God who gave it. This may explain why dead in Christ rise first. I Thessalonians 4:16.
Ecclesiastes 12:8
All on this Earth is vanity. The gold, silver, and precious stones we bring to judgment seat of Christ will lay a foundation for eternity. I Corinthians 3:12-15.
Ecclesiastes 12:9-10
The ultimate wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, not the end. Once you fear the Lord, the Holy Spirit has a vessel that is responsive to Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gave us the Bible as the only text book for life. The Holy Spirit chose the acceptable words through men of old and every word were words of truth. II Timothy 3:16.
Ecclesiastes 12:11
Wisdom is the main principal concept for life, but wisdom should be accompanied by understanding. Proverbs 4:7. Wisdom will firmly fasten your life. Your earthly life will be anchored on Jesus, the rock of ages. Life will be molded and shaped by the masters of assemblies as clay in the potter’s hand. Isaiah 64:8. There is only one shepherd, Jesus Christ. John 10:11 & 14.
Ecclesiastes 12:12
Books are written on a daily basis, and will continue throughout eternity. Daniel 7:10, Revelations 20:12. We only have 66 books and a study life of 24/7 will never master the books. How many Christians today have weariness of the flesh by continually daily in God’s word? The person who studies would be different. The family would be different. The Church would be different. The community would be different. The nation would be different. The world would be different. Revival begins when one member has weariness of the flesh, because the Holy Spirit among believers is contagious.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
What is the Holy Spirit telling us in Ecclesiastes 12: Fear God, because fear of Lord is the beginning of knowledge. We should be a doer of the word and not a heaper only. James 1:22. Keeping His commandments is simply being a doer of the word. Christ and His word make life simple; trust and obey for there is no other way, as the old song says. Matthew 19:17, Luke 1:6, John 14:15.
Ecclesiastes 12:14
What is the conclusion of this whole matter: I Corinthians 3:12-23. All can be yours through Jesus Christ. Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve. Joshua 24:15.
