This paper is written in spirit of Exodus 33:17. There is a new name written in glory, and it’s mine. Revelation 3:12. Does this make you want to shout?

Foundation Scriptures

Exodus 32:17-18, Psalm 68:25, Psalm 33:2-3, Psalm 81:1-6, Psalm 87:7, Psalm 92:3, Psalm 98:4-6, Psalm 105:2, Psalm 144:9, Psalm 149:3, Psalm 150:3-5, Isaiah 30:29, Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16

Jesus, God in the flesh, was an emotional being. Jn 11:35, Ps 2:4, Prov 1:26. Jesus was a man of sorrows. Is 53:3. Jesus came to Earth so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Jn 10:10. An abundant life will lead to freedom of Spirit. Jn 8:36. I pray I have found grace in the eyes of the Lord and He will show me his way. I want to know Him. I want to find grace in His sight. Ex 33:13. I know Him as Savior. I want to fully know Him as lord. I desire to experience the fullness of His glory.

The church is the chosen Bride of Christ. Do we have reasons to sing with joy and emotions? Are we God’s people? Is God in our midst? Ex 33:15. If God is not in our midst, there is no need to assemble. I Cor 15:14. Have we been redeemed? Ps 107:2. If we are redeemed let us say so with our lips and emotions. Ps 107:2. The preaching in our Church is with emotions and fullness of power from the Holy Spirit. I have seen my Pastor cry, shout, dance, laugh, and run with power from the Holy Spirit. The Spirit in the preaching bears witness with my spirit. I rejoice when it is time to go to the house of the Lord. Ps 122:1.

Should we show emotions during worship in songs? Are we touched by the Holy Spirit that leads to emotional expressions? Does he Holy Spirit knock on our heart with a desire for fellowship? Rev 3:20. Will that fellowship lead to emotions in songs and praises?

Are we afraid or intimidated to show emotions? In Voice in Wilderness, an article described a music program as correct because it was not like the charismatics. Has the Spirit of fear permeated our fundamental Baptist churches? Rom 8:15, II Tim 1:7, I Jn 4:18, Ps 118:6. Are our youth taught to sing without emotions? Should one’s face and body movements express the joy of their salvation? IF YOU HAVE NO JOY, READ AND PRAY Ps 51, with emphasis on v. 12. Let’s encourage freedom of Spirit that brings glory and honor to Christ Jesus. Do Christians have reasons to be happy and show emotions? Can the unsaved look at us and have a desire to have what we possess?

Bruce Frye, and excellent musician and singer, visited our church. The comment was made, he could take his guitar and bring out many emotions, but to Glorify God he chose not to do so. This was a great disappointment to me. The melody was good, the songs were scriptural. I serve an emotional God. There are many scriptures I could quote. What is man without emotions? Dead. Eph 2:5-6. Is it possible to sit in heavenly places and have no emotions? We just finished a meeting with Dr. Lou Rossi. A frequent question he asked throughout his sermon was, "Can I get an Amen?" Is the spiritual condition of a Church directly related to the median daily Bible study, prayer, and meditation among the church members? The 120 were in one accord in upper room. Acts 1:14. Can being in one accord in prayer, and Bible study bring out emotions that would affect our church and community?

I feel strongly we are living in the very last days. All the signs are in place. The coming economic storm will lead people to seek a firm foundation. It is my prayer, hope, and desire that our church, through Holy Spirit, will be ready to meet the spiritual needs of our community. We have the leadership; let’s follow in one accord to glorify Christ. II Thes 3:7,9.

A warning from Ex 32:17-24. Beware of man made emotions because it will result in man made bull. The children of Israel, even in their sin, were still his chosen people. People today who worship through man made emotions remain God’s people, if they have been born again. Heb 13:5.

Should there be a stage in a Christian’s life when he is not called a servant, but a friend of God? Being a friend of God, does that make you want to shout? Jn 15:15. Are the windows of Heaven open unto your life? Mal 3:10. Is there a connection between little emotions and closed windows?
Keep looking up, your redemption is neigh,
