(printer friendly version)We are in mist of mission conference season. For the past 10 years I have been involved in foreign missions as a lay Christian. I have observed with natural eyes. I went to scripture and attempted to look with spiritual eyes. I admit I am only looking through a glass darkly. I Cor 13:12 The question is does anymore have spiritual twenty twenty vision into mind of God? Rom 11:34
Should we make investments in time, energy and money in the work of foreign and domestic missions? A spirit lead conference will answer this question in a Biblical manner. A mission conference is a time to purchase gold from God, without purchasing gold can you be rich? Are you naked without gold purchases from God? Can you have spiritual eyesight from God without a gold purchase? Rev 3:14-18
I may be making gold transactions during the mission conferences I attend. I will be seeking to be a good steward and maximize my return. I suffer from spiritual greed. I buy gold to become rich. Unfortunately gold offered in some conferences is fools gold. Fools gold is abundant among television evangelist, buyer beware. He that has an ear let him hear. From all appearance the outward signs are appealing. Look under the surface. We serve a God who looks at the heart. Are we thirsty? Can you buy without money? Do we spend money that is not for bread, wine and milk? Do we labor for things that do not satisfy? We should eat that which is good and become fat in Jesus. Isaiah 55:1-2 How do you lay up treasures in heaven? Invest in gold. I Cor. 3:12
The buying of gold requires a transaction. Matt 6:19-22 What is the consequence of making bad investments? Matt 25:30 The bible tells us to try the spirits. I John 4:1 The missionaries will have tables and spiritual transactions will occur. Will gold, tested by fire, be offered or conscious soothing doves? Mark 11:15-17
