(printer friendly version)Bob Jones University portrays pride and self righteousness more than any other Christian organization I have known in my Christian life of 56 years. He that has an ear let him hear. God is not the author of confusion. Romney says he is a Christian and believes in God. The endorsement by Bob Jones confirms this in the mind of some believers. Study Mormonism, it is not of the Christian faith. I don’t serve their god. Satan is seeking whom he may devour and his stomach just got larger. His stomach is full of dead man bones. They have a form of godliness, but deny the power there of. They are a stumbling block to believers.
The Bible says be angry and sin not. I am angry but feel no conviction. No man can serve two masters. It appears Bob Jones ran their candidate through the filter of the Bible and Romney came the closest to their biblical perspective. A house divided against itself can not stand. We now know where Bob Jones stands. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Read the Bible again for the first time. Has Bob Jones left their first Love? The world is a dark place. Are they putting their light under a bushel? Or is their light the same as the Mormon’s light. The Bible talks of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Looks and appearance can be deceiving. Cry aloud and spare not. Make your election and salvation sure. Many who have preached and won souls may hear "Depart from me ye workers of iniquity". God’s word will not return void.
Christ came to the earth approximately two-thousand years ago. The Roman government brought him before the religious people. Religion was given a choice between a murderer and Jesus, and they chose the murderer. Two-thousand years later a child of God and my brother in Christ, part of the Army of God, gave people a choice, the religious people chose a murderer. Is Bob Jones and Pat Roberson keeping rank within the Army of God? If so, why do they endorse a pagan and an abortionist?
Be instant in season and out of season. Reprove and rebuke with all long-suffering. I am not giving Bible references because most of you have known the scriptures since your youth. Study the Bible to show thyself approved, a workman that need not be ashamed. Bob Jones, I am ashamed of the endorsement you made. Did the decision come after much prayer, fasting and seeking God’s will? There is a judgment seat of Christ, tears will be shed. Are you furthering the cause of Christ? If you want to be political, filter your views and your candidate through the Bible.
A person, church or organization’s heart is reflected through their decisions in life. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What is Bob Jones saying by endorsing Romney? Do we at this time, January 13th, 2008 have a choice of a candidate that would give Christians a voice in government? Every one has a voice except Christians. The USA is my country also. I am just traveling through, my citizenship is in Heaven. I am an ambassador for Christ on earth and my speech and actions should reflect Christ. Bob Jones declares that Mormonism best reflects Christianity and the teachings of Christ.
I understand as the field of candidate’s narrows our tolerance for their views has to widen. If the general election is between Romney & Hillary then I would vote for Romney. I don’t have to make that decision right now.
Pat Roberson of the 700 Club gave his support to Giuliani, a pro abortionist. God help us. Is he holding The Coat of the Abortionist? Where are the leaders of the Church? Will God raise up a leader for these last days? Pat Roberson wrote a book “The Ten Offenses.” The eleventh offense should be thou shall not support an abortionist. It appears Pat Robinson does not use his Bible as a frame of reference for his life. “Reverend” Jesse Jackson in talking about Israel said you could not use your Bible as a land deed for Israel. Bob Jones, Pat Roberson and Jessie Jackson seem to be in one accord in not using the Bible as a guide for life.
We condemn Joel Osteen for his liberal views of Christianity, and rightly so, but we become silent when one of our own is doing disgrace to the name of Christ and becoming a stumbling block. Don’t be lukewarm in our relationship with Christ. We know the danger in being lukewarm. Does the church really want revival? Examine yourself, make your election sure. If God is for you then who can be against you?
There is no separation of Christ in me, from my speech and daily activities. He should be Lord of all. He has to be Lord of my vote. My vote has to be filtered through the scriptures. Did Bob Jones and Pat Roberson chose the candidate that came as close as possible to their Biblical views?
Is there a Samuel type reading this letter? If so, take a sword, a large double edged sword that cuts asunder and remove King Agah from the life of Bob Jones and Pat Roberson. Is there someone who has access to these people? Chose this day whom you will serve.
I write these hard sayings because I love you as a brother in Christ. He that seeketh council is wise. The Presbyterian took a Biblical stance, and he is my brother, and I love him. I hear of no Pentecostal endorsing abortionist and cults. Our fruit of the spirit is shown through our speech and actions. The world does not see or understand our Savior. They are dead, no sight or understanding. They can only see and hear through Christians, who are used as instruments through the Holy Spirit to guide them to Christ. Christians are the salt and light of this world. Let your light shine so others will see Christ and glorify God. Surely come quickly, Lord.
